Does the Starter have to start the sentence?
If the Starter can't think of a good word to start the sentence, simply say 'period' which works as a 'pass.' The next player then starts the clue sentence.

The Guesser is allowed to talk to the team. They in turn 'talk' to the Guesser giving one word at a time. For example, for the word catapult, the Guesser having trouble coming up with that word might say, 'Give me the first syllable.' The team then gives a clue sentence for cat. Very often that is enough to prompt the complete word which had already been described.

What happens if one team member does not know the meaning of the word?
An exception to the 'table talk' rule is allowed - go ahead and whisper the meaning of the word to that person. With young children, pick a new card.
In Brain Chain and Cross Currents, when the Guesser guesses one of the words, can the team use that word in the next sentence?

Synapse. Teamwork at the speed of laughter
Synapse is a high-spirited game of teamwork and laughter. Form a sentence to get your team's Guesser to say a word. The Guesser has 60 seconds to get the answer... the faster you answer, the more points you score. Sound easy? The catch is that team members must take turns adding one word to the sentence without consulting each other. Your synapses might not match your neighbor's. That's when the hilarity begins! Be ready for surprised looks, unusual sentence structure and outbursts of laughter as connections are made... or not! Once you start, you won't want to stop!
